POKER ROOM
Welcome to the Big Chill Poker Room website!  This is
your one-stop shop for all you need to know about our
poker events at the Big Chill!!

We play two tournaments of No Limit Texas Hold 'Em
every Tuesday night.  The first game begins at 7pm
sharp, so you need to be there around 6:30 to
guarantee yourself a seat.  There is no buy-in; that's
illegal.  Players are not awarded money in weekly play,
just points that may qualify them for the cash prize
game at the end of the gaming cycle (currently every 6
weeks).

Beginners, novices, experts and pros are all welcome!!  
If you've never played before, but want to learn, this is
a great place to do it because it's FREE!!

The Big Chill Poker Room came to be in September
2006.  We held our very first "monthly" championship
on Halloween about six weeks later.  Our poker "new
year" is November 1st.  It is at that time our Player of
the Year is crowned.  Our championship cycles are
between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on projected
participation.  The championship game features cash
prizes for the top three finishers; $250, $150, and
$100, respectively.

More importantly than all that though, is that our poker
program was created to enhance the experience of our
Big Chill customers.  So many of us are part of the
recent boom of Texas Hold 'Em that we wanted to offer
an opportunity to play or learn in your favorite pub
environment.  So, the number one rule is to HAVE
FUN!!
In accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws, THE BIG CHILL is NOT a gambling venue.  Absolutely NO GAMBLING will be permitted or tolerated.  
Games are played for entertainment purposes only.  All records are available for scrutiny by appointment only.
BIG CHILL POKER HOUSE RULES
By joining our game, you automatically consent to these rules, so read them and understand
them!!  Address any questions or suggestions to the Tournament Director.
CURRENT POINT STANDINGS
Points are calculated using a computer algorithm with a base of ten points.  That means the
first player knocked out gets 10 points, all other receive more.  The actual number they
receive is subject to change based on the total number of players in the game.  
PLAYER OF THE YEAR STANDINGS
POTY points are derived from weekly points earned in weekly games and championship
games.  Bonuses are awarded for those who play in the championship with additional points
awarded for 1st - 3rd place in the championship.
